Cobalt Holidays is a small, family-run holiday let offering one thing and doing it well: a comfortable, well-kept static caravan — Ash Grove 9 — on the award-winning Primrose Valley Holiday Park near Filey on the North Yorkshire coast. We're not a big agency with a hundred properties on our books. We have one caravan, we look after it ourselves, and we want every guest to arrive to find it exactly as they'd hoped.

Whether you're planning a lively family week with the kids, a relaxed couples' break, or a get-together across the generations, Ash Grove 9 makes a brilliant base for exploring everything the Yorkshire coast has to offer.

The Caravan

Ash Grove 9 is a Silver grade caravan with three bedrooms, sleeping up to eight guests. It comes fully equipped for self-catering, with a comfortable open-plan lounge and dining area and a well-fitted kitchen that includes a full-size fridge/freezer and a dishwasher — a real bonus when you're catering for a houseful. The main bedroom has its own en-suite toilet, and all three bedrooms feature their own 24" smart TVs.

Inside you'll find full central heating to keep things cosy whatever the season, and Wi-Fi is included with your booking. Outside, a covered veranda at the front gives you somewhere sheltered to sit whatever the Yorkshire weather is doing, with a small patio area as well.

Please note that bed linen is provided only with certain bookings rather than as standard, so do check your booking details — we'll always make it clear what's included before you arrive.

The caravan sits right in the centre of the park, which means you're only a short walk from both of Primrose Valley's entertainment venues — handy for families wanting easy access to the shows and activities without a long trek back to bed at the end of the night. The park is flat and easy to get around with pushchairs too, so families with little ones and guests with limited mobility will find it straightforward.

The Park

Primrose Valley is one of Haven's flagship Yorkshire parks and is packed with things to do. On site you'll find an indoor Adventure Pool with a multi-lane water slide, a heated outdoor pool, an Aerial Adventure high ropes course, a boating lake, sports and leisure facilities, and two entertainment venues hosting daily activities and evening shows. There's also a good choice of places to eat and drink, including a Wetherspoons pub and a range of restaurants and takeaways, plus an on-site convenience store.

Best of all, the park has direct access to a beautiful sandy beach, so the sea is never more than a short stroll away.

Please note: Haven Play Passes

The swimming pools, entertainment complex and most on-site activities are managed directly by Haven and require a Play Pass, which is not included in your booking with us. Play Passes are bought separately from Haven — either online before you arrive or at the park reception. Swimming sessions and activities can be reserved through Haven once your pass is purchased. We mention this up front so there are no surprises: your booking with Cobalt Holidays covers your stay in the caravan, and the Haven park facilities are an optional extra you arrange directly with Haven.

The Area

Filey itself is about three miles away — a peaceful, traditional seaside town with a long award-winning beach, perfect for coastal walks, rock-pooling and lazy days by the sea. The dramatic Filey Brigg headland is well worth exploring on foot (do check the tide times before you set off).

You're also superbly placed for the wider coast. Scarborough and Bridlington are both a short drive away with their classic seafronts, arcades and attractions, and inland you'll find the North York Moors, the steam railway at Pickering, and family days out at Flamingo Land all within easy reach. Whitby and the pretty smugglers' village of Robin Hood's Bay round out a coastline that's hard to beat.
